Five Year Mission

Music Guest of Honor

Five Year Mission; Five Year Mission is a band. They have been together for 13 years and are writing at least one song based on EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Star Trek: The Original Series. As of today, their releases include five full-length albums (Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as Spock's Brain) and their EP, The Trouble with Tribbles. Currently, they're hard at work writing the final run of TOS-inspired songs for the album, Year 5. Where do you know them from? Well, a lot of places. They have been the house band at the official Star Trek conventions in Las Vegas and Chicago. You may recognize them from being in a little traveling museum exhibit called "Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds" that has been around the U.S. You can hear their take of the Deep Space Nine theme during the end credits of the documentary What We Left Behind. Not only do they perform all around the country on their own, they have also acted as the backing band for the likes of Tim Russ (Tuvok; Voyager), Chase Masterson (Leeta; Deep Space Nine), Max Grodenchik (Rom; Deep Space Nine) and Tawny Newsome (Mariner; Lower Decks).
