Presidential Ponderings
  by Kathie Thompson

Hello,

First I would like to let everyone know that the January meeting will not
be in the room we normally use. It will be in room behind the stage. It
is a bit smaller but will work.

Thanks to everyone that came to the 30th anniversary party for the Circle
of Janus. We had a lot of good food, games, and a fun time was had by
all. Special Thanks to Chris and Crystal for acquiring the site of the
party.

The Circle of Janus web page is the best place to pay your dues ahead of
time or if you will not be able to make the meeting and still want to
vote. Please use the following link:
http://www.inconjunction.org/coj/dues/ and you can vote by sending an
email to : COJ-election at inconjunction.org.

As usual I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the January meeting.

Thank you,
  Kathie Thompson

How to Update Your Subscriber Info
  by Jeff Thompson

If you need to update your information on any of the Circle Of Janus or
InConJunction list servers, here's how you do it:

1. First, go to the list server in question:

    CircleOfJanusMembers -Members-only list server.
    http://www.inconjunction.org/mailman/listinfo/circleofjanusmembers

    CircleOfJanusNewsletter -The COJ Newsletter listserver.
    http://lists.inconjunction.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/circleofjanusnewsletter
Note: You don't need to be a member of this if you a member of
CircleOfJanusMembers.

InconConCom- The Convention Committee List Server
    http://lists.inconjunction.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/inconconcom

InConJunction- The Convention Discussion List Server
    http://lists.inconjunction.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/incon-discuss

InConJunctionAnnounce- The Convention Announcements List Server
    http://lists.inconjunction.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/inconjunctionannounce
Note: You don't need to be a member of this if you already a member of
InConJunction

Any of the other list servers shown on the Mailing Lists Information
page
    http://lists.inconjunction.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo

2. Then, on each of the above-mentioned list server pages, you'll see a
section for subscribing to the list server (e.g. "Subscribing to
CircleOfJanusMembers"):

    a. If you currently don't receive email from a list server and would
like to, this is the section of the page in which you can enter your email
address, name, and desired password to be added to the list server.

    b. Some list servers require approval before you're added to the list,
so it might take a day or two before you're confirmed. Entering a name on
the subscription form will make this process go a lot faster.

3. The second section on each list server page (e.g. "CircleOfJanusMembers
Subscribers") is used to edit current subscriber options. Simply enter
your current email address and click the "Unsubscribe or Edit Options"
button:

    a. If you want to unsubscribe from a list server this is the page on
which you can do that. Also, if you don't remember your current list
server password, you can have it emailed to you from this page.

    b. If you know your password and want to change your subscription
options, just enter your password and click the "Log In" button. This will
bring up the "List Server Configuration" page where you can edit the
various configuration options. For example, if would like to change your
email address, name, your password, or other email deliver options, this
is where you would make these changes.

    c. Note: Some of the options on this page have a "Set Globally" check
box next to them. If you are a member of multiple list server's you can
change settings on all of the list servers you're subscribed to by
clicking this check box before clicking the various apply/save buttons. A
lot easier than repeating the same steps over and over again for each list
server.

    d. Note that the InConJunction committee list server works a little
differently than the others. The ConChair is the sole owner of the
committee list. This is both to avoid spam on this list and to ensure that
committee emails are properly archived. Do not send emails to anyone else
asking to be added to the committee list. You need to speak with the
ConChair in order to have your email address added to this list server.
