Notes from the President
by Kat Robertson
Just a short message this time as both the Secretary and the President let
time slip away. LOL!
First off, I would like to thank the club members who elected me for
having trust in me to serve on the Board. It means a lot to me. I would
also like to remind all of you, that this is your club, you are the heart
and soul, and what becomes of this club and how it grows is contingent on
all of us.
I would like to ask all of you to give suggestions for what you'd like to
see after the meetings. This Saturday, the February meeting, will be the
SciFi/Fantasy Swap. Anything SciFi or Fantasy is welcome. You can give it
away or "swap" it. All I ask is no selling. Books, DVDs, music, computer
programs, knickknacks, or collectibles are all welcome. I would also like
to ask that all giving away or swapping wait until the end of the meeting,
as some people are caught up in ConCom and don't get a fair shake at
things like everyone else if it happens before. I look forward to seeing
everyone's stuff and see if people get to take home new treasures.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Kat

Summary of the January Meeting
by Lynette Cowper
The club met on January 5 at LifeJourney Church. All officers except
President Lynette Cowper were present. We had several guests-- Deb, Alex
and Sierra, and Daniel.
We accepted the last meeting minutes as published. Kent gave a Treasurer's
report, then we had an update on the income for InConJunction 32. Mel
reported on her search for an artist GoH for InConJunction 33, and her
need for someone to help with marketing and with handling the tables for
clubs and non-profits. Drew reported on his search for GoHs for
InConJunction 34. We're still looking for a new meeting location. Until
then, we'll be at LifeJourney.
We moved on to elections, with Election Officer Gary Plumlee taking over.
The winners were: InConJunction 35 (2015) ConChair, Jeff Thompson;
Chairman of the Board, Andy Andrews; President, Kat Robertson; Vice
President, John Belden; Secretary, Lynette Cowper; Treasurer, Kent Raquet;
and Sergeant-at-Arms, Ricky Lile.
There were a bunch of announcements, one of which was that the February
meeting will be a media-exchange month (books, DVDs, music, knickknacks,
etc.). And that was about it!

Summary of the January Board Meeting
by Lynette Cowper
The Board met on January 26 at Valley Mills Christian Church. All officers
except Treasurer Kent Raquet and InConJunction 35 ConChair Jeff Thompson
were present. Additionally, outgoing Secretary Laura Edwards, and Anjala
and Dillan Dick were in attendance.
We approved the last Board minutes as published, skipped the Treasurer's
Report, since Kent wasn't present, and then moved to convention reports.
Mel has a full complement of GoHs with artist Stuart Sayger on board. We
shared hotel contact adventures and passed around various contracts and
paperwork for the Board to review. We are officially supporting Camp
Sundown for our charity (along with Indiana Literacy as usual). Drew
reported he's secured two GoHs-- Author Aaron Allston and Artist/Author
Aaron Williams. He also had contract drafts he passed around.
We discussed meeting location and decided to remain at LifeJourney through
June, then briefly discussed email accounts, Indy Pride and Pagan Pride,
convention Quartermaster, Member Services (Anj is returning to the
position), and then moved on to future meeting dates. We decided on the
following dates, to be held at VMCC from 1 to 3 pm: March 23, May 18, July
20, September 28 (or the 21st, depending on when Pagan Pride is), and
November 16. There will also be a meeting, probably on June 22, at the
hotel either preceeding or following the ConCom meeting. We briefly
discussed what we could do to support other local groups and cons like
StarBase Indy, Anime Crossroads, and Who's Yer Con. And that was it!
