President's Reflections
 by Lynette Cowper

Well, summer is here with all its summer blockbuster movies, conventions,
and vacations. Don't forget to reserve your room for InConJunction. And,
as you're out and about, be sure to look for opportunities to promote the
club and the convention.

Check out the Mark Your Calendars for movie, conventions, and other events
you might enjoy.

Summary of the May Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The club met on May 5. All the officers except Vice-President Kyra and
InConJunction 33 ConChair Melissa were in attendance. We had a couple
guests-- Perry, a friend of the Thompsons, and Kevin Harris, creator of
the game Zombie Fried and friend of Kat's.

After the April Minutes and Treasurer's report, Kathie reported on
InConJunction. She had flyers and encouraged everyone to grab them early,
as she often has to leave meetings early due to her health. We are behind
our usual numbers for rooms and pre-registrations, but otherwise are
moving along. We talked a bit about using Square for credit cards. We
covered InConJunction 33 and 34 briefly, then Andy gave a Board report.
Laura talked about Indy Pride and still needing volunteers. We went over
plans for member activities. Laura reported on Penguicon.

We moved to Old Business. We're still working on Membership Cards and
Membership Loans. Lynette passed out pages 4 & 5 of the Bylaws for people
to look through. We talked about the Audit Committee. Then we talked about
the Meeting Location Search Committee, which currently consists of Tracey
Rollison. Anyone who has ideas of places to meet, email Tracey. Lynette
announced that Laura would be taking over the Inner Circular.

We had no New Business, so we moved to announcements and that was it!

Summary of the May Board Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The Board met at the Marriott on the 26th. All the officers except
Secretary Laura Edwards were present, though President Lynette Cowper was
only present virtually via Skype. Drew volunteered to take notes. No one
else was present. We went through convention reports for InConJunction 33
and 34 briefly, then dealt with this year's con. Kathie's had contact with
most of the GoHs about flights and rooms and other things. Our room nights
are lagging behind previous years. We covered cash registers, Gaming,
Blood Drive and Charity Auction, hall and author tables, the wiki,
dealers, advertising, and possibly reaching out to the SCA to do some
panels or programming.

We discussed whether there would be any problems with Kyra moving to
Cincinnati. Her new job is weekdays only, so it isn't a problem for her to
come back to Indy on the weekends for meetings.

And that was it!
