Summary of the June Club Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The club met on June 7. We had about 30-ish people in attendance including
all club officers except Stephen Kendall, Treasurer.

We briefly went over the May minutes and had a Treasurer's report, then
Drew reported on InConJunction 34. Our hoped-for Media GoH didn't pan out.
Drew reminded everyone to get a hotel room. Jeff reported that he has sent
a contract to Tim Zahn for 2015, so he's not quite officially our Author
GoH, but close. Laura had nothing new for InConJunction 36. Andy reminded
everyone we would have a Board meeting prior to the ConCom meeting at the
Marriott June 21. Laura reported on Pride and needing volunteers for it.

In Old Business, the Bylaws Caucus will be September 20th. We're
discussing changing the Treasurer position to a two-year term or having an
assistant position. There was no New Business.

For announcements, Kat said her niece graduated from hairstyle school, her
son took over a landscaping business, and that she is having bariatric
surgery. Mel mentioned a few events that have passed. Mike Suess
recommended X-Men Days of Future Past and Godzilla. He is also looking
forward to Lucy and Guardians of the Galaxy. Leigh has two novels being
serialized at Jukepopserials.com. Randy also had a notable niece, who was
featured in the Indy Star for her cosplay at Indy Pop Con. He also talked
about the next red box D&D coming out in July and things at Gen Con.
Andy mentioned Skin Games, a new Harry Dresden book. Kat reminded folks
with allergies to always check the ingredients, even on medical tests, as
she had problems with aspartame recently in a medical test concoction.
Lynette was proud of Ren for making the honor roll.

And that was it for June!

 Don't Forget!
If you have purchase receipts for InConJunction for which you need
reimbursed, please, bring them to the August meeting, as Stephen will
not be available in September.

Summary of the June Board Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The Board met June 21, 2014, at the Indianapolis Marriott East. All of the
Board members, except Chairman Andy Andrews and Treasurer Stephen Kendall,
were present. Anjala and Dillan Dick were also in attendance.

We briefly went over the May minutes, then quickly ran through reports on
Pride and the New Year's Eve Party. The Bylaws Caucus was mentioned and
tabled. Stephen was absent, so there was no Treasurer's report and we
skipped InConJunction 2015 and 2016 reports in the interest of time.

We then moved to the main event, Drew reporting on InConJunction 34. We
have swag bags. Color-changing cups and tee-shirts are on the way. We
still need a few more room nights. Stuff in the storage unit needs sorted
and old stuff tossed. The Program Book is with the printer. And that was
the meeting!

Summary of the July Board Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The Board met July 26, 2014, at Valley Mills Christian Church. All of the
Board members, except Secretary Beckie Margedant and InConJunction 36
ConChair Laura Edwards, were present. Kathie Thompson and Joe Greene were
also in attendance.

The June minutes were unavailable, so approval was tabled till the
September meeting. Stephen gave a Treasurer's Report, then Drew ran
through the highlights of InConJunction 2014. For InConJunction 2015, Jeff
announced we have GoHs-- Author Tim Zahn, Artist Eddie J. Del Rio,
Toastmaster Lou Harry, and one Featured Guest, David Reddick. We sent
flyers to a couple cons. The ConCom is coming together. He's added a new
position, Club and Group Liaison, to connect with local fannish and
related groups. Some ideas for ConSuite, pre-sale of tee shirts, the
database rollover, and Expo Hall layout were discussed. He is working on
breaking down the data from the surveys. Laura had emailed some reports.
She is looking for a media GoH for 2016.

In Old Business, signage for the club and con was discussed. Laura needs
volunteers for Pagan Pride on Sept. 27 and is also looking to turn over
the Community Outreach position after the 2015 con. We're still working on
the New Year's Eve party. Kathie will check with the Marriott on space for
the Bylaws Caucus.

In New Business, the After-the-Con Bash will be September 6, starting at
5:00pm, at Valley Mills Christian Church. Drew will bring a portable grill
or two. The con provides meat, drinks, and paper products. Everyone else
brings sides or desserts. Andy has some old club minutes, and Drew has
some lost and found items from the con. Stephen said that people who have
receipts for reimbursements should, if at all possible, bring them to the
August meeting, as he will not be present at the September meeting. We
went over some business with the 2013 books and discussed signing
contracts with the Marriott for 2017, 2018, and 2019. And that was it.
