Summary of the May Club Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The club met on May 7 at Valley Mills Christian Church. All officers
except 2018 ConChair Beckie Margedant were present. There were about 38
people present. We had Judi C. who had also joined us in November and
Larry Ulrey's brother Tim as guests.

The April meeting minutes were approved as published. We got a Treasurer's
Report covering accounts and the progress of the reincorporation, then
moved to convention reports. For 2016, Laura reported we got our big Main
Programming room back, we're a little behind on pre-regs and hotel rooms
compared to last year, and the Charity auction desperately needs
donations. Joe had to leave before his report and Beckie was absent, so we
didn't have a report for 2017 or 2018.

Andy reported on the Board would be meeting May 21. In committees, the
Audit Committee was meeting the next Sunday; Outreach is just waiting for
booth assignment from Pride, which is June 11; Quartermaster had gotten
Fun Police stuff and had sorted out keys; Member Services, Archivist, and
Webmaster had nothing to report.

In Old Business, the silent auction as a club fundraisers will be after
the club meeting in June; Jeremy Murray has the Member Cards; there were
printed copies of the Bylaws available for anyone who wanted them, as well
as being available online, look them over for any issues; and
reincorporation was adequately addressed in the Treasurer's Report.

In New Business, we looked at club activities. For a May non-meeting, we
had a bunch of suggestions, but nothing settled. The June post-meeting
will be the silent auction. For a June non-meeting, we had suggestions of
movies, Indy PopCon, the June 25 Naptown Rollergirls bout, and Pride. For
a July non-meeting, someone suggested a book swap, which might also be a
possibility for the August post-meeting activity, and Karaoke.

In Announcements, Mel mentioned Star Wars: Bloodlines book is out; Wendy
has Folgers cannisters looking for a home; Randy mentioned a Kickstarter
for gamer merit badges; John announced Bat Boy: The Musical at TotS; Anj
is doing Mary Kay and looking for clients; and Gary P said Patrick Stewart
in The Green Room is good. Lynette mentioned VMCC is doing a play, Lost in
Space and the Mortgage Due. It's a melodrama, but scifi. She and Mike will
probably be in it and Ren will most likely be running lights. July 22nd
and 23rd. They're looking for costumes, if anyone has anything they'd
donate or lend. Deb needs actors for the InCon play -- Barney Rubble, Dino
the Dinosaur, and someone to die on stage.

And that was it for May!

Summary of the May Board Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The Board met on May 21 at Valley Mills Christian Church. All officers
were present except President Mel Kocias and Vice President Jeremy Hanna.
Mike Cowper was also in attendance for part of the meeting.

The March Board minutes were approved as corrected. We got a Treasurer's
Report concerning the accounts and the outcome of the Audit Committee
meeting. In con reports, for 2016, Laura reported she had emailed the
Program Book art from Heather Kreiter; GoH travel is being worked on;
she's got another possible sponsor; and the hall tables are all claimed
with the exception of a couple she's holding for some maybes. For 2017,
Joe is still waiting to hear from his selected GoHs, but has back-ups if
they're a no, and got some posts and plastic chain for his own personal
use that he can lend to the con for things like setting off the DIY area.
For 2018, Beckie had nothing new to report.

In Old Business, Outreach is all set for Pride except for volunteers.
Incorporation is moving forward. Who's Yer Con was good, but needs more
buy-in from the other organizations. The issues with the Make-a-Wish
contract are all settled.

In New Business, we discussed what to do with the massage guys and
ConSuite's concerns with having them there. Laura decided to put them in
the Expo Hall and charge them as vendors. We discussed a couple of other
details of incorporation.

And that was it for the May Board meeting!

Next meeting is Sunday, June 12, 12:00 noon, at the Marriott.
