Tim Waggoner

Featured Guest

Horror and Fantasy Author

Tim Waggoner;

Tim Waggoner wrote his first story at the age of five, when he created a comic book version of King Kong vs. Godzilla on a stenographer's pad. It took him a few more years until he began selling professionally, though.

His novels in the horror genre include Darkness Wakes, Pandora Drive, Like Death, Necropolis, the Harmony Society, All Too Real, Dying For It, and the movie tie-in A Nightmare on Elm Street: Protege. He's also written the fantasy works Forge of the Mind Slayers, The Thieves of Blood, the Godfire duology, and two novels for young adults set in the Dragonlance Universe entitled Return of the Sorceress and Temple of the Dragonslayer.

Tim has published close to eighty short stories, some of them collected in All Too Surreal. His articles on writing have appeared in Writer’s Digest, Writers’ Journal, and other publications.

In addition to writing fiction, Tim has worked as an editor and a newspaper reporter. He currently teaches creative writing at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, and in the MA in Writing Popular Fiction program at Seton Hill University. His wonderful wife Cindy is a psychologist (a useful profession for the wife of a writer). They have two lovely daughters, Devon and Leigh.

Tim hopes to continue writing and teaching until he keels over dead, after which he wants to be stuffed and mounted, and then placed in front of his computer terminal.
