Marc Gunn
Music Guest of Honor

Marc Gunn plays Irish, Scottish and folk music. But there's a twist. His original lyrics are a fusion of Celtic and pop culture. He calls it Sci-F'Irish music. You'll hear fun, upbeat sing-along songs in the Celtic tradition, but listen closely and you will laugh and smile to songs inspired by Lord of the Rings, Firefly, Star Wars and Star Trek, dragons and cats. His musical weapon of choice is the autoharp. This obscure instrument is great for singing along. Gunn makes his shows fun and accessible with a sonically unique rhythm and folk musical style. For Gunn, it started small, wearing a kilt on campus at the University of Texas. As one half of the acclaimed Brobdingnagian Bards, Gunn and partner Andrew McKee developed a loyal following with weekly performances on campus. This quickly led to gigs at Celtic festivals, Renaissance faires and eventually science fiction conventions, where their popularity exploded. When the Bards split up in 2008, Gunn left Austin and began producing albums in overdrive. He now has over 20 solo albums on his homespun Mage Records label. His most-popular albums include _Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers, Don't Go Drinking With Hobbits, Firefly Drinking Songs, Scottish Songs of Drinking &a Rebellion, and Sci Fi Drinking Songs. He has released over fifty albums in his catalog. Selcouth_ is Gunn's newest album. "Selcouth" means "when everything is strange and different, yet you find it marvelous anyway." That nails Gunn's strange but marvelous mix of Sci-F'Irish music. In 2014, Marc Gunn launched the Gunn Runners Club on Patreon where he continues to release new songs to fans. He believes the music industry is changing and musicians will rely more heavily on fan support in the future. Gunn's activities are not restricted to musical performance alone. In 2005, he transformed his popular Celtic Music Magazine into one of the first podcasts. Irish & Celtic Music Podcast was one of the earliest podcasts to go online and definitely one of the longest-lasting. It is still published after 12 years and has since won twice for Best Music Podcast in the Podcast Awards. Whether it was from playing D&D as a kid or having his mother move to Italy in 1985, Gunn has an adventurer's soul. He combines his love of travel with his love of music. Every year, he takes other adventuring souls on Celtic Invasion Vacations. These are small groups of people who want to not just see famous sites, but to experience their culture, history and legends. Marc Gunn continues to change the way we look at the music industry. He has raised the bar and held it high. Using the musical past and a vivid imagination bolstered with ambition and drive, he blazes trails from Verse to cyberspace, encouraging others to follow.

Creepin' It Burly

A burlesque and drag troupe based in Indianapolis.

Creepin' It Burly (CIB) is the brainchild of Dorothy Dagger. Dorothy wanted to create a troupe that brought together burlesque and drag, homing them in the same place. These two arts play off each other a great deal, and the creators of CIB wanted to marry them. During the quarantine stage of COVID-19, the troupe began by producing digital shows using Zoom and YouTube. They had their first in-person show in July 2020 and haven't looked back since. The troupe has performed at many venues in Indianapolis, to include the Melody Inn, DiD Fit Studios, and now Mark The Tap III in Muncie, Ind. Transylvanian Lip Treatment
Special Performances

The Rocky Horror Picture Show movie debuted on theater screens in 1975 and by 1976 had earned its midnight movie status. Part of its midnight movie status was the growing trend of audience participation during the movie. That eventually became known as "shadowcast," in which live actors act out and lip sync the movie during the movie screening. This would include audience participation such as call-back lines to the screen and certain props being used during the movie as well as other audience participation. Transylvanian Lip Treatment (also known as TLT) has carried on this live shadowcast tradition for over 10 years and is one of the most active casts in the Midwest. Their show is an experience of uncensored fun and debauchery that pulls the audience in to be a part of the show. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is rated R and so is Transylvanian Lip Treatment's performance. Come to their show on July 2 in Main Programming and experience what The Rocky Horror Picture Show is all about.

John F. Allen is an American author/writer and visual artist from Indianapolis. He is a founding and active member of the Speculative Fiction Guild, and a faculty member of the Indiana Writers Center, where he teaches classes on writing. John began writing and producing artwork as a child, and has pursued various forms of writing throughout his career. He studied liberal arts at IUPUI with a focus in creative writing and art, received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force and is a member of The American Legion. John's debut novel "The God Killers" was published in 2013, followed by a spin-off novella series titled "Codename: Knight Ranger." John's short stories have been featured in such acclaimed collections as "Thunder on the Battlefield: Sword Volume One" by Seventh Star Press, "Trajectories" by Hydra Publications, "Black Pulp II" by Pro Se Productions and "Spyfunk" by MV Media. He also is the creator of OG NERDS and serves as an administrator for the Facebook community that caters to nerds of a certain age (40) but welcomes ALL nerds (18 ).

Author of the Night Maiden series

A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, Dan R. Arman decided he wanted to tell stories. Stories about other worlds populated by interesting characters, because he thought these people and worlds would help him reflect on the world he was living in, its beauty, horrors and absurdity. While he was starting to pursue this dream of being a science fiction and fantasy author, he began teaching English composition at Stark State College in Ohio. For several years, he worked as a newspaper reporter, an editor, and now teaches literature and writing at an online high school. He holds a master's degree in English literature and rhetoric from Kent State University. He currently lives in Akron, Ohio, with his wife and cats.

Mary R. Arman/Rose Withering is a multi-genre author. She is the creator of the Young Adult Color Me Novel, a combination of coloring book, epic fantasy book and illuminated manuscript. Librarians never really retire.

Susan is a retired librarian. She specialized in science fiction, fantasy, horror, media tie-ins and author support. Susan enjoys reading, movies, television and gardening. Along with three backyard chickens, she has recently added red wiggler worms. Chickens are allowed to catch wild worms but not the red wigglers, who are helping make compost for her garden. Susan thinks that she is the queen of run-on sentences, and if not then she is a part of the royal family.

Jo Boone
Jo Boone is a speculative fiction author.

Jo Boone writes fiction and nonfiction, with occasional amateur attempts at poetry. Her day job as an industrial hygienist takes her into interesting places, from residential construction sites to newspaper printing operations to funeral homes, where she picks up tasty tidbits that find their way into her stories. Her short fiction has appeared in Weird Tales, Challenge Accepted and other unusual places. The Magnetar is her first published novel.

Travis Clemmons is an author, actor and storyteller who was born and raised in Central Kentucky but now lives in Chicagoland. T. Lee Harris
Author of The Eloquent Scribe, San Francisco at Night and Now You Sea God.

T. Lee Harris is a scribbler of the lowest order. Not only does she pen lies about people who don't exist, but she draws pictures of them as well. Harris aids and abets others by putting their scribblings into book form and going so far as to devise covers for these publications. She claims she went to school to learn these things, but that shouldn't be held against anyone. Harris is, in turn, aided and abetted by others in her assaults against literature. Among these accomplices are Per Bastet Publications, who have shamelessly published her untruths about an ancient Egyptian scribe and a magic temple cat and spread her prevarications about a former football player and a 200 year-old vampire turned international law enforcement agents. Also implicated are Untreed Reads and Hydra Publications, who have promulgated her lies about a retired spy who keeps getting mixed up in other people's business, Horror and Mystery, LLC who allowed her to run rough-shod over history, and the Southern Indiana Writers' Group - possibly the worst offenders of all - who have repeatedly permitted her to commit her acts of literary vandalism with their Indian Creek anthology series. There are suspicions that Harris is committing another novel or two, but this has yet to be confirmed.

James A. Zarzana grew up around science fiction. As a teenager, his favorite works were by H.G. Wells, Jules Verne and George Orwell. He watched the first Star Trek series as a high school student. He stood in line to watch Star Wars the weekend it opened. He reads widely in many genres, but lately has moved into fantasy via the Green Riders series among others. He's written three novels: The Marsco Dissident, Marsco Triumphant and The Marsco Sustainability Project. The near-future world has been taken over by a gigantic computer corporation, Marsco, which controls access to all technology and rules the Earth with an iron fist. As an English professor, he worked sci-fi into his reading list as much as possible, including works like A Canticle for Leibowitz and Never Let me Go. After retiring from a 40-year university teaching career, mostly in Minnesota, Zarzana divides his time between South Bend, Indiana, and Simlångsdalen, Sweden. He's completing the fourth and final novel of The Marsco Saga, The Ascendancy of Marsco, the prequel to the Marsco world. He's also finishing a YA fantasy novel, Sir Torne and the Queen of Hallandria, the adventures of a sort-of knight, a feisty lady-in-waiting, a hedgehog who wears a blue waistcoat with five brass buttons and a dragon who can no longer spit fire.
