Summary of the March Club Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The club met on March 1. 34 adults, including all officers were present.
We had two guests, local authors RJ Sullivan and Matthew Barron. The
February minutes were accepted as published. For InConJunction 34, Drew
reported that our author, Aaron Allston, had passed away, so he's looking
for a new one. Kat Falls is coming as a Young Adult Author GoH. For
InConJunction 35, Jeff reported he's looking for a music, author, and
artist GoHs. For InConJunction 36 Laura reported that she has an artist
she isn't publicizing yet. She's hoping to get Simon Morden for her author
and would like people to check his books out.

In Old Business, we're consulting with our insurance agent on the News
Years Party. In New Business, we discussed after-meeting activities. We
were hoping to have Weird Science for April. May will be Kat's May
Birthday Gaming. For Indy Pride, Laura needs volunteers for 2 hour shifts.
It's on June 14th at the American Legion Mall.

In announcements that are still relevant, Randy said Gen Con announced
Author Jim Butcher and Artist Terese Neilson. Chris Canary got free passes
for Pop Con. Kat announced that INWAP Games has a new partner, Jeremy
Hanna!!

Summary of the March Board Meeting
 by Lynette Cowper

The Board met March 8th. All Board Members as well as Gary Plumlee, Kathie
Thompson, and Sam Hartman were present. Stephen reported on various things
he's done as Treasurer. For InConJunction 34, Drew had GoH contracts and a
revised budget, which we reviewed. Jeff is still working on GoHs. Laura
had nothing new to report.

In Old Business, we briefly went over a few outstanding issues and then
moved to the Anti-Harassment Policy. As ConChair, Drew sets the policy for
this year. The Board offered two versions as well as suggestions for
changes or other possibilities. Drew selected one [which is included in
the article below].

===================================

InConJunction 34 Anti-Harassment Policy

InConJunction is dedicated to providing a harassment-free convention
experience for everyone. This policy applies to all participants, whether
convention committee members, volunteers, vendors, invited guests, or
paying attendees.

Harassment includes images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation,
stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained
disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact,
unwelcome attention, and offensive verbal comments related to, but not
limited to:
   Gender
   Gender identity and expression
   Sexual orientation
   Disability
   Physical appearance
   Body size
   Race
   Religion
   Political affiliation
   Nation of origin
   Age
   Marital status
   Veteran status

People of all ages attend InConJunction. Sexual language and imagery can
be a form of harassment, or can just be inappropriate in a particular
setting. As a guideline for determining the appropriateness of such,
InConJunction uses the PG-13 Movie criteria.

Exceptions to the sexual language and imagery rule may be made for those
events listed in the Program Book as Adults Only, where participants are
given ample warning and opportunity to leave beforehand, and only in cases
when it is necessary to the topic of discussion and presented in a
respectful manner.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the convention organizers
may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender
or expulsion from the convention without refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or
have any other concerns, please contact a member of convention staff
immediately.

Convention staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue
security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist
those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the
convention. We value your attendance.

Convention staff can be identified by special badges.
